About Hirinugyaw – suguidanonay

Hirinugyaw–Suguidanonay the annual celebration in Calinog, celebrates and shares its culture through dance and chants. The celebration is known to be Iloilo's just scholarly celebration that features the magnificent story of Hinilawod through move performed in its one of a kind blend of verse, serenades and music. 
 
It is an special event of incredible magnificence and social noteworthiness. The celebration featured by the ancestral move rivalry performed in two portions. It begins with the Suguidanon that give guests their valid indigenous culture. Suguidanon, a narrating done in serenades, performed and displayed every year in sections from the people epic ballad Hinilawod thought to be the second longest epic on the planet composed and recorded by Ilonggo Anthropologist Dr. F. Landa Jocano in 1957 based from stories from the tenants of Central Panay. It is a rich wellspring of their social practices, religion and ceremonies. 
 
Hinilawod is one of the hardest of all Panay oral writing go from age to the following. It has been said that the chanter, the Babaylan can just set aside one student at an opportunity to take in the epic by tuning in and disguising it. It is said that when recorded it takes around 30 hours and when executed as a serenade with intrusions for suppers and rest, the epic goes on for three days. Hirinugyaw-Suguidanonay Festival gives a phenomenal chance to participants to be completely submerged in Calinog's Panay Bukidnon and nearby culture. This is a festival of their lives together as one individuals living in common regard of their disparities in confidence, personality, and ethnicity.
