Bhairavnath Temple

Kune Waterfalls
The 14 highest waterfalls in the world the Kune waterfall is located in between Lonavala and Khandala. The fall cascades from the height of 200 meters and is an incredible sight to see. Lohagad Fort
The magnificent Lohagad fort is located at the top of a hillock at the height of 3400 feet. The fort means Iron Fort and is the separator of the Pawna Basin from the Indrayani Basin. Chattarpati Shivaji, the great Maratha Ruler has his roots in this fort. The fort has also witnessed many other Vidarbha rulers. The important sites to see are Maha Darwaja, Ganesh Darwaja, Narayan Darwaja and Hanuman Darwaja.
Pawna Lake
Situated in the outer part of Lonavala, Pawna Lake is an artificial lake made by the Pawna Dam. It is s famous picnic and leisure spot in Lonavala. You can enjoy row boating, motor boating and paddle boating at the lake.
Baja Caves
The splendid rock-cut caves are located atop a hill in Lonavala. The caves are 22 in number and are dated back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries. They are said to be related to the Buddhism period in the west and the carving and the scripture on the caves indicate the high relation of them with the Buddhism.
Rajmachi Fort
The Shridhan and Manaranjan forts combined form the amazing citadel, Rajmachi Fort. The fort faces the Bor Ghat which was once the prime trade route between the Mumbai and Pune. Founded by Satavahanas the fort was taken over by Shivaji Maharaj in 1657 and was also under the Mughals for a period of a year. The brilliant architecture of the twin forts is the prime attraction of this place apart from the picturesque view that the fort offers.
