Hidalgo

Hidalgo formally the Free and Sovereign State of Hidalgo is one of the 31 states which, with Mexico City, incorporate the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided in 84 municipalities and its capital metropolis is Pachuca De Soto. In 1869, Benito Juarez created the State of Hidalgo. He appointed as capital of the kingdom the metropolis of Pachuca to which was brought the call de Soto in recognition of Manuel Fernando Soto, who is considered the most vital riding force in developing the state. The state become named after Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the initiator of the Mexican War of Independence. It is placed in Eastern Mexico.

Hidalgo is bordered through San Luis Potosí and Veracruz at the north, Puebla at the east, Tlaxcala and State of Mexico on the south and Queretaro at the west. The current day state of Hidalgo is placed within the pre-Hispanic region of Mesoamerica. Numerous migrations of indigenous human beings befell via here, broadly speaking arriving or passing through from the north, with many subsequently settling inside the Valley of Mexico.
