Halvad

Halvad is a town and a region in Morbi region in the Gujarat province of India. It has a normal height of 46 meters 150 feet. Halvad sits on the banks of the Samatsar Pond. Halvad was a previous capital of the Dhrangadhra State and was governed by the Jhala Rajputs. It is an old strengthened town at the southern edge of the Little Rann of Kutch. The yellow earth of this semi parched zone and the structures of neighborhood yellow sandstone influence the entire town to shine lively brilliant yellow amid dawn.

Halvad is near the Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary at the Little Rann of Kutch. The Asiatic wild ass is an individual from the steed family with striking white underparts and a profound mane. Different creatures spotted here are nilgai and chinkara and the winged animals seen are the Indian sandgrouse, houbara bustard, songbird, desert lark, desert wheatear, Indian courser and vultures.
