About Sankat Mochan Music Festival

Famous among locals and visitors the Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh is a yearly music celebration composed in Varanasi in lieu of Hanuman Jayanti. It takes puts on the eve of Hanuman Jayanti, which is portrayed by the lunar timetable. The craftsmen performing at this celebration incorporate Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Vishwamohan Bhatt, Anup Jalota, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and so on. Not only the vocalists, a few tabla and other melodic instruments player add appeal to this celebration.

This yearly celebration holds a unique place in the hearts of the crowds who visit it every year and appreciate the peaceful music that touches their hearts and souls. This 6-day long celebration is a tribute and a 'haazari' to Lord Hanuman and the artists feel respected to be a piece of this magnificent felicitation.
