About Opelousas Mardi Gras Parade & Chicken Run
Every year, Lil’ Nate and his zydeco “krewe” host a large celebration all through Mardi Gras weekend in Opelousas, Louisiana. The celebration starts offevolved with stay song Saturday night time via Lil’ Nate & The Zydeco Big Timers and other zydeco song bands. Sunday afternoon the parade and path journey go away the grounds of the Yambilee and at 2pm, a fowl chase takes vicinity for every age. Stick around for greater live track on the Yambilee in the night.
When the parade leaves the Yambilee, it's going to head south on Railroad Avenue, west on Park Avenue, then north on Bullard Street. Once the parade procedures Highway, it will continue west on Charles Burr Lane, north on Colorado Avenue, then again to the Yambilee grounds on Vine Street.
It's a Mardi Gras weekend in Opelousas with zydeco headliners: Chris Ardoin, Brian Jack, Leon Chavis, and of course, Lil Nate. The parade is family-orientated and serves as a high-quality way to assist enhance income for neighborhood organizations alongside the parade route that don't see as tons commercial enterprise as other parts of the town.
