About Ka-angkan

Ka-angkan Festival is seven days in length festivity of connection and solidarity among Marikeños. The topic of the celebration is dependably "Ka-angkan Ko, Mabuting Tao", which advances the qualities and great characteristics of the Marikeños. It began in the year 1999. The Ka-angkan Festival is a virtual family get-together of Marikeños from everywhere throughout the nation and abroad. It gives the chance to all Marikeños to meet and to become acquainted with their faction individuals and perceive the families who have settled in the district for no less than a hundred years. 
This celebration is intending to offer significance to family and custom, a center benefit of being Filipino. The occasion additionally respects the huge local families of the city. The day begins with the get-together of Marikeños for a motorcade of families. Every group has their own hues and one of a kind standards or flags that the monikers gave on their faction.
