About Hugyaw Samal Festival
The Hugyaw Festival is a festival held every year in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, each 28th day of August. It has been the custom of the city of Cagayan de Oro to commend its party with synchronous occasions that even begin on the main seven day stretch of August. To name only some are the Garden Show and Agri Fair, Kumbira Culinary Show, Cowboy Festival: Annual Horse Show, Kahimunan Northern Mindanao: Food and Lifestyle Show, Miss Cagayan de Oro, The Kagay-a Festival Marathon, Cagayan de Oro Carnival Parade, The Higalas Parade of Floats and Icons, Higalaay Bisperas Fireworks Display, Religious Procession, Fluvial Procession, and Higalaay Pyrolympics.
The features of the Higalaay Festival are include many types of show. The Kumbira Culinary Show which is currently viewed as the longest running yearly culinary show and celebration in the entire Philippines, is a 3-day occasion that envelops live rivalries, for example, Buffet Table Setting and Manu Folder, Noche Buena Platter, Artistic Bread Showpiece, Dessert Making, Chef Wars, Flair Bartending Tandem, and other live competitions. The Higalas Parade of Floats and Icons, as a rule being taken part among the city's instructive organizations, municipal gatherings, clubs and sororities, foundations and the sky is the limit from there, is being seen by a great many Kagay-anons and travelers that group the sides of the parade's course. Drum and Bugle corps, contending buoys and Cagayan de Oro symbols are being paraded on the occasion.
