About Biju Festival in Tripura

 

Tripura is ready to rejoice the three-day Biju competition at Unakoti district. The age old pageant which represents the cultural diversity of the chakma community could be showcased at the festival. Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb will inaugurate the pageant on the way to be held on the Nabinchara excessive college beneath Pecharthal block. The celebrations will begin from April 13 and could stop on April 15.

 

On the first day, that's called Ful Biju human beings can pay floral tribute to the river, on the second day which is called Mul Biju traditional songs and dances  will be achieved and the final day known  as Gotche Potche Biju elders of the network  may be invited for a banquet and get married once more to their spouses. People from Assam, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland and Bangladesh can even attend the competition. Nadeng hara, Ghile hara, Godu hara and others sports activities activities can also be held at some point of the celebrations.
