Boat Ride in Lake Periyar and visit to Periyar sanctuary -the best sanctuary in India for watching and photographing elephants at close quarters. Morning after breakfast, drive to Thekkady (130 Kms/ 4Hrs). Arrival and check in to the hotel. Rest of the day will be free for enjoying the natural wonders of Thekkady. Later enjoy the boat ride at the Lake Periyar where one can have a unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar, however are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake. (Subject to sighting). Overnight in Thekkady.
