About Hubei
Hubei is an area of the People's Republic of China, situated in the Central China district. The name of the territory signifies "north of the lake", alluding to its position north of Dongting Lake. The common capital is Wuhan, a noteworthy transportation lane and the political, social, and financial center point of Central China. It outskirts Henan toward the north, Anhui toward the east, Jiangxi toward the southeast, Hunan toward the south, Chongqing toward the west, and Shaanxi toward the northwest. The prominent Three Gorges Dam is situated at Yichang, in the west of the territory.
The Jianghan Plain takes up a large portion of focal and southern Hubei, while the west and the peripheries are more uneven, with reaches, for example, the Wudang Mountains, the Jing Mountains, the Daba Mountains, and the Wu Mountains in harsh north-to-south request. The Dabie Mountains mislead the upper east of the Janghan Plain, on the fringe with Henan and Anhui; the Tongbai Mountains deceive the north on the outskirt with Henan; toward the southeast, the Mufu Mountains shape the outskirt with Jiangxi.
