Danjiangkou

Danjiangkou is a district level city of northwestern Hubei Province, People's Republic of China, flanking Henan area toward the upper east. It has a populace of more than 150,000 and is under the organization of Shiyan City. Shiyan is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Hubei territory, China, flanking Henan toward the upper east, Chongqing toward the southwest, and Shaanxi toward the north and west. At the 2010 registration, its populace was 3,340,841 of whom 767,920 lived in the developed region ade of Maojian and Zhangwan urban areas on 1,193 square kilometres.

In 2007, the city was named China's main ten bearable urban communities by Chinese Cities Brand Value Report, which was discharged at 2007 Beijing Summit of China Cities Forum. Danjiangkou is situated on the Hanshui River. As the city name indicates, it is situated close to the mouth of the Dan River. The city appropriate is arranged close to the Danjiangkou Dam on this river. Danjiangkou is the northwest end of the Hankou Danjiangkou Railway.
