Huangshi

Huangshi is a prefecture-level city in southeastern Hubei territory, People's Republic of China. Its populace was 2,429,318 occupants at the 2010 enumeration; 1,601,687 of whom lived in the developed territory made up of 4 urban locale in addition to the city of Daye, now being a piece of the agglomeration. In 845 BC Marquis Wen Huang Meng moved the capital of the State of Huang from Yicheng to Huangchuan. Huang Xi's relatives ruled State of Huang until 648 BC when it was demolished by the State of Chu. The Marquis of Huang, Marquis Mu Huang Qisheng, fled to the province of Qi. The general population of Huang were compelled to migrate to Chu.

They settled in the district of present-day Hubei territory, in a locale known as the Jiangxia Prefecture amid the Han tradition. On 9 March 1944, 18 CACW B-25s escorted by 24 P-40s bombarded a foundry and gliding docks at Huangshi in Hubei. They were caught by Japanese warriors from the 25th and ninth Sentai and lost 2 P-40s. Huangshi is situated in southeastern Hubei territory, fundamentally along the southwestern bank of one of the real curves in the Yangtze River. It is found 100 kilometers south-east of Wuhan, and fringes Jiangxi territory toward the south. Its region was accounted for by the neighborhood government as 4,583 square kilometres; elsewhere, the quantity of 4,630 square kilometers was given.
