About Vishwakarma Puja
Vishwakarma Day is a day of celebration for Vishwakarma, a Hindu god of architecture, and was one of the fourteen precious things to be born out of the Samudra manthan. He constructed the holy city of Dwarka where Krishna ruled, the Maya Sabha of the Pandavas, and ious weapons for the gods. He is also called the divine carpenter, and is credited with Sthapatya Veda, the science of mechanics and architecture. The festival is celebrated mainly in factories, industrial areas, and on the shop floor. This day is observed not only by engineering and architectural community but by all people who use machines and tools.
