About Sambayan Festival
The brainchild of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts NCCA in introducing the new thousand years, Sambayan: Philippine Arts and Culture Festival 2000 was conceptualized as a social event of the nation's best specialists and social laborers in a year-long grandstand of Filipino aestheticness. Concentrating on the part of inventiveness in human improvement, the different segments of Sambayan celebrated and acknowledged activities to engage networks and people through expressions of the human experience.
The celebration has eight parts, its exercises spread consistently. Sungdu-a, the visual expressions segment, included 40 weighty and dynamic aesthetic articulations. Opening at the CCP in February, the display has made a trip to Baguio, Naga, Batangas, Dumaguete, Bacolod, Tacloban, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Dipolog. Sandiwaan: Collaborative Productions exhibited new preparations by different sensational, move and social troupes.
