About Mayaw-Mayaw Festival

The Mayaw-Mayaw Festival is a yearly thanksgiving festivity each tenth of May. The festival are featured with move and dramatization challenges, social introductions and road moving rivalry. The festival began as an aesthetic move that portrays an old custom amid the pre-Spanish time that is as yet being drilled in Pinabacdao and taken an interest by nearby agriculturists, schools, open gatherings and barangays. The custom is called "mayaw" or "gamit" in Waray joined by the enthusiastic beat of the drums and other privately made melodic instruments, for example, bamboo woodwinds.
