Normal methods for cooking maliputo is sinigang with tart kind of tamarind and a few vegetables, inihaw flame broiled, or browned nearby bagoong with calamansi. The cook fest contenders flaunt their culinary abilities in enhancing maliputo dishes. Before the cook fest, every member is given two kilos of maliputo which they will expand in the challenge. They will be the ones to buy their own fixings as indicated by their must-be winning dish.
The primary long stretches of Maliputo Festival were made conceivable through the organization of the nearby government and the Department of Education – San Nicolas. It was just two years prior that the ladies' association, KALIPI, began working as one with the celebration board of trustees. Bancaton Festival was the principal celebration of San Nicolas, held amid the poblacion party. It remains a piece of the festival up to this point and is done at a young hour early in the day after the mass and before the cook fest.
