Bhai Dooj
About Bhai Dooj
In the entire Northern part of India, this day is celebrated on the last day of the five-day Diwali festival. On Bhai Dooj, the sister puts tika on her brothers forehead and wishes for his long life and happiness whereas the brother gives her favourite gifts in return. Many a times Bhai Duj has also called “Bhatri Dwitiya” or “Bhau Beej.”Thus, like the other festivals, this festival helps to strengthen the bond between a brother and a sister.
