Mahesh received the 63rd National Film Award as the Best Playback Singer, for classical piece within the film Katyar Kaljat Ghusli. Mahesh is an achieved vocalist of the new generation with a captivating level presence, that has along together with his unusual musicality and vocal dexterity, placed him firmly on the national and international radar of the North Indian Classical Music community. As a disciple of Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki, he has an illustrious pedigree, and his exciting performances undergo this out. He was initiated into music by his mother Smt. Meenal Kale and currently keeps to obtain steering from Shri. Shounak Abhisheki. Mahesh became educated in classical, semi-classical, and marathi natya sangeet. His latent abilities were honed to supply in him a terrific singer of classical tune, tappa, thumri, bhajan, bhavgeet and natyageet and his technical knowledge over rhythm and melody is now blatantly glaring in all his renditions.
