About National Voluntary Blood Donation Day

On 1st of October, National Voluntary Blood Donation Day is getting celebrated in India consistently every year to share the need and significance of the blood in the life of a person. On 1st of October 1975 it was first begun to celebrating through the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology. Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology was first settled at 22nd of October in the year 1971 under the authority of Mrs. K. Swaroop Krishen and Dr. J.G. Buoyant.

Following are the fundamental goal for the celebration of day initial one is to make aware the general population everywhere throughout the nation about the significance of the deliberate blood gift another is to effectively accomplish the objective of Voluntary Blood Donation to satisfy the pressing need of the destitute patients and last one is to store the blood in stock in blood donation centers for any urgent and genuine necessity.
