Early morning breakfast – Drive to Lachen via Chungthang – Lachung, Lachen - 48 kilometers / 2 hours - Lachen – A tranquil destination at an elevation of 8840 feet with panoramic view of Himalayan range, exotic flora, fauna, monastery and tribal villages. Situated on a grassy and bush flat from the periphery of which rise the pine clad mountains with there snowy peaks, black cliffs and rhododendron all around. After breakfast leave for Yumthang (11,800 ft.), the “Valley of flowers”. Yumthang is a lush green valley surrounded by snow peaks on all sides where the tree line ends. You will be travelling across the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary which has more than 120 species of Rhododendron trees and is also the home to the endemic Rhododendron Niveum, the State Tree of Sikkim.
