About Dali Monastery

Dali Monastery Located in Darjeeling Town, although this monastery is popularly referred to as the Dali Monastery, it's actual name is Druk Sangag Choling Monastery. This is the call which is prominently written on its out of doors wall as you approach it from the road and walk through its arch gate. When you study the monastery from a bit distance standing on the Hill Cart Road, it seems top notch. Its one among the biggest monasteries with white homes built in normal Tibetan fashion and perched on a steep hill.

The monastery became in the beginning constructed on the time of Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche in 1971. He changed into a well known religious Tibetan instructor. Dali Monastery belongs to the Kargyupa sect. Today it is the pinnacle quarters and residence of Drukchen Rimpoche the XII, who is the splendid head of the Kargyupa sect of Buddhists. As you enter through the arch gate and stroll up along the ramp, you may be awestruck with the structure of the homes. Soon you may want to climb flights of many steep stairs. On the manner you'll see a prayer room on your proper.
