About Faridpur
Faridpur is a district in south-central Bangladesh. It is a part of the Dhaka Division. It is bounded by way of the Padma River to its northeast. The district is named after the municipality of Faridpur. Historically, the metropolis was called Fathabad. It become also known as Haveli Mahal Fathabad. Despite its importance in agriculture and delivery, Faridpur remains one among Bangladesh's highly poor districts.
It was a railway and delivery centre beneath British rule in Bengal. The district is top notch for its medieval and colonial structure. The town of Fathabad was positioned by using a move known as the Dead Padma, which became 20 miles from the principle channel of the Padma River. Sultan Jalaluddin Muhammad Shah hooked up a mint in Fathabad in the course of his reign within the early 15th century.
