If we bisect the word Char Dham then it gets split into Char means four and dham means pilgrimage for worshipers. Char Dham is a spiritual concoction of four holy destinations namely Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnathji and Badrinathji also known as Chota Char Dham, which are present in the Himalayan region in India. Since years Char Dham has been the most reputed and honored place visited heavily by saints and pilgrims in India and abroad. Resting in the Garhwal ranges, Gangotri the source of river Ganga is accompanied by other three holy spots. The Akha-Teej which occurs in the month of May marks the beginning of Char Dham Yatra which generally ends after two days of Diwali usually Bhai Dooj.
