About Tivoli
Tivoli is a town in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The populace was 1,118 at the 2010 evaluation. The town, which was joined in 1872 from parts of Upper Red Hook Landing and Madalin, is the northernmost settlement in the district, situated in the northwest piece of the town of Red Hook.
A private human sciences school, Bard College, is found only south of the town in the village of Annandale-on-Hudson, and the Kaatsbaan International Dance Center is situated inside the town limits.
The locale was a piece of the Schuyler Patent, a 1688 patent characterizing a portion of the towns and towns in Dutchess County and the Poughkeepsie provincial region. The town was in the past known as "Upper Red Hook Landing". The town of Tivoli was joined in 1872, uniting Madalin and Upper Red Hook Landing.
