About Selma
Selma is a city in and the area seat of Dallas County, operating at a profit Belt district of south focal Alabama and reaching out toward the west. Situated on the banks of the Alabama River, the city has a populace of 20,756 as of the 2010 census.
This activism created national regard for social equity and that late spring, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was passed by Congress to approve government oversight and authorization of established privileges of all citizens. It had been a trading center and market town during the years of King Cotton in the South.
