Rainbow

It fused in 1950.The populace was 9,602 at the 2010 census.It is a piece of the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area.This city was named after U.S. Thruway 411, called Rainbow Drive, which goes through the center of the city.Some of the more established natives say it was named after the US 42nd Infantry Division, known as the "Rainbow Division".

Rainbow City is situated in southern Etowah County at 33°56′38″N 86°3′42″W.It is flanked toward the upper east by Gadsden, the district situate, toward the southeast by the Coosa River, crosswise over which is the city of Southside, and toward the southwest, crosswise over Little Canoe Creek, by the town of Steele in St. Clair County.
