About Sursee
Sursee is a municipality within the district of Sursee in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. Sursee is located on the northern quit of Lake Sempach, not some distance from in which the Sure or Suhre river exits the lake, hence the call "Sursee". The beaches of Lake Sempach were inhabited because the Neolithic. Sursee municipality is domestic to the Halbinsel prehistoric pile-dwelling settlement this is part of the Prehistoric Pile dwellings around the Alps UNESCO World Heritage Site. At Zellmoos within the Halbinsel website, the bottom layer is from the Cortaillod subculture while there are several Late Bronze Age layers above it. There are 3 Late Bronze Age layers at Gammainseli. The Zellmoos websites were discovered in 1806 and excavated in 1902, 1941, 1991 and 2005. The Bronze Age web sites featured several homes with clay floors. A wide variety of ceramic, bronze, bone, stone and flint items have been located within the excavation. The Gammainseli site has been regarded since the 19th century, and became explored via divers in 2005, who located Late Bronze Age potsherds, animal bones and some bronze gadgets. Some neolithic flints have been additionally discovered, however no hint of a agreement has been observed.
