About Lutry
Lutry is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud, located in the Lavaux-OronLutheri has been mentioned for the first time in 908 as Lutri Villam. In 1124, it was referred to as the Math Century Martini co-villa. Neolithic tombs were discovered in Chatelard in 1835 and again in 1894. There were graves of some thirty stone boxes of so-called Chamblelands type in the tomb. They used to work three axes of flint, as well as some parts of a shell necklace. In 1895, many tombs of the same type were discovered in Montgini. They had important new things such as axes, a polished stone ax and antoner shaft made for stone axis.
While such items were often found in the remains of Litoral Neolithic settlements, they are rarely found in graves, which made searching in Montagney particularly important. However, in 1927, archaeologists mistakenly assumed that these findings were accidentally assigned to the tombs. Without further evidence, he has written that under Montgenny there was an undiscovered. The Lutheri was a royal property of the Burgundian House of Welf. A fortified tower was built in Craig-Bernard in the 11th century to rule over the property. After the death of Rudolph III, this property went to Konrad in Swabia and became a royal empire. In 1079, Emperor Henry IV donated the property to the Bishop of Lausanne.
