St. Elmo was a booming town in the Colorado, but the place went abandoned when the railroad shut down in 1922. Many buildings, stores, church are intact and still belong to their former resident. This place was once a booming mining town, but now it is known as a ghost town.

Bodie was flourishing gold mining town in 1879 and about 8,500 residents living in here for gun fighting and brawling. When mines became largely depleted, the population started to decline and slowly become total abandonment. There are still 150 buildings intact and belongs to their former resident.
4. Humberstone and Santa Laura, Atacama Desert
Humberstone and Santa Laura are situated in Atacama Desert, Chile; this place was home to saltpeter mines. This place was abandoned in 1958. The place still has its buildings include a theater with its original chairs, houses, and a cast- iron swimming pool. You also get to see the hotel and a grocer shop. It gives chills in the body.
5. Bhangarh
Bhangarh is located on the northeast of Jaipur; this place was once ruled by the King of Jaipur in 1720. This city was started to decline that includes temples and pavilions, a fort, and a medieval bazaar. Now the local people say that this place is haunted.
6. Kayakoy
Kayaköy was a Greek village with 2,000 residents, after the Greco-Turkish war ended in 1923, this place was abandoned. When you visit this place you will find ruined homes and two Greek Orthodox churches, this is a historic site at this place.
7. Pyramiden
Pyramiden, Svalbard in Norway is an Arctic coal-mining town. This place once had barracks, a sports center, and a bust of Lenin. The mine is worn out, but there are building like a library full of books, a theater, and music hall still intact and this place was abandoned in 1998.
8. Herculaneum
Herculaneum is situated in Naples, Italy; you can reach to place by the city by bus or train. This place is abandoned, but uncovered private villas, shops, bathhouses are still intact, and you can witness this place.
9. Belchite
Belchite, is located in Zaragoza Province, Spain, this place is known for a brutal battle during the Spanish Civil War in 1936-39. This place still has ghostly buildings that give a clear picture of violence they witnessed in that era.
10. Kolmanskop
Kolmanskop is located in the Namib Desert among the sand dunes. This place was build near the diamond mine. This place was abandoned in the mid-1950s and most of its houses filled with sand. There are still a few building in this place which is in good condition.
