This place got its name, Tiffin Top, after people began to have lunch on the hilltop on Dorothy's Seat. It is also called Dorothy's Seat because the army officer Col. J.P. Kellett built it in memory of the English artist Dorothy Kellett.

The church is named after a Bishop from Kolkata who spent most of his life here and is dedicated to St John the Baptist. Its divine peacefulness renders the church a tranquil environment away from the bustle of daily life, and the beautiful architecture is a sight to behold.

This zoo is located on the Sher ka Danda hill in Tallital. It is perched at 2100 metres and spread over 4.6 hectares. The zoo has numerous endangered species and is a prevalent tourist spot. The zoo manages the entry fees. Key wildlife spotted at the zoo include the Himalayan Civet, Himalayan Bear, Tibetan Wolf, Hill Patridge, Sambar, Barking Deer, and Royal Bengal Tiger. During winter, the bird enclosures are enclosed with curtains to keep the birds warm.

The adobe of Jim Corbett, a British hunter, is called Gurney House. There is a tiny museum with the achievements of Jim Corbett. A quaint little nursery with various shrubberies and plants is also on the premises. Despite being a private residence, tourists visit with prior permission.
The Gurney House maintains its vintage aura on the attractive Ayarpatta hill slopes. Jim Corbett's sister sold it to Mr Sharda Prasad Varma. It is currently owned by Nilanjana Dalmia, Mr. Varma’s granddaughter.
