About San Sebastian

San Sebastian is a coastal city and municipality located inside the Basque Autonomous Community, Spain. It lies on the coast of the Bay of Biscay, 20 km from the French border. The capital town of Gipuzkoa, the municipality's population is 186,1/2 as of 2015, with its metropolitan area achieving 436,500 in 2010. Locals call themselves donostiarra, each in Spanish and Basque.
The fundamental financial sports are commerce and tourism, and it is one of the maximum well-known tourist locations in Spain.

Despite the city’s small length, activities together with the San Sebastian International Film Festival have given it an global dimension. San Sebastian, along with Wrocław, Poland, turned into the European Capital of Culture in 2016. The first evidence of human stationary presence within the modern-day town is the agreement of Ametzagana, among South Intxaurrondo and Astigarraga. The unearthed stays, which include carved stone used as knives to cut animal pores and skin, date from 24,000 to 22,000 BC. The open-air findings of the Upper Paleolithic have revealed that the settlers had been hunters and Homo sapiens, besides pointing to a far less warm climate at the time.

Know Everything about the Christmas Capital of the Philippines - San Fernando

The City of San Fernando is the capital of Pampanga province and is also popularly known as the ‘Christmas Capital of the Philippines’. Every year, there is a Giant Lantern Festival that is organized over here from December 16 to 24 in which different communities participate against each other by building different types of lamps and commemorating it in a superb show of light and music. The festival is a popular attraction during the nine days of Christmas as people pour in large numbers to witness the spectacle. The initial tradition of the festival began somewhere around 1908 but the present version of it evolved during the 1930s when electricity made its way into the city. However, the motto of the festival is unity among its different neighbourhoods through different lanterns. Some other facts related to the Giant Lantern Festival and the city, in particular, are also discussed here for a general understanding.
