About Petatlan
Petatlan is a small metropolis within the country of Guerrero, belonging to the Costa Grande vicinity of that entity. It is the top of the homonymous municipality. The metropolis is crossed through the Federal Highway 200 that borders the coast of the country and communicates to the population of Cuajinicuilapa with Acapulco, Atoyac de Alvarez, Tecpan and Zihuatanejo, in east-west orientation. During the eleventh century, the population of Petatlan changed into inhabited by means of exclusive prehispanic corporations including the Cuitlatecos, Chumbias and Pantheras until in 1497 this place of the Costa Grande became conquered by means of the Mexicas beneath the hueytlatoani Ahuizotzin. Montezuma Xocoyotzin officially established the province of Cihuatlan where the territory of what's now the municipality of Petatlan became incorporated. When the Spanish conquest was consolidated in Mexican territory, the populace of Petatlan became entrusted to Gines de Pinzon. Its inhabitants have been evangelized by way of Fray Juan Bautista Moya, who gathered the Indians and based the town of Petatlan in 1550.
