Today, Huejotzingo is known for the generation of alcoholic apple juice and organic product jam, just as its yearly festival. This festival is particular as it focuses on the re-sanctioning of a few authentic and amazing occasions identified with the region.
The name originates from Nahuatl and signifies "spot of little willows", as the territory used to be loaded up with willow trees developing in zone swamps and bogs. Huejotzingo got its emblem in 1553 from Carlos V. It demonstrates a silver fortification on a red field, which has a blue banner with the Cross of Jerusalem in gold. There is likewise a palm tree in gold. On either side of the fortification, there are two lions. Encompassing the majority of this is an enriching outskirt with five blue stars on a silver foundation, with the words "Carolus Quintus Hispaniarum Rex" Latin: Charles V, King of the Spanish.
