About Dighwara
Dighwara is a town and a Nagar Panchayat in the Saran area, territory of Bihar, India. The name most likely gets from 'Dirgh-dwar', truly "vast door", as Dighwara is professed to be the passage to the fanciful city of lord Daksha. Amid British Rule it was a Feudal Estate governed by the Raghuvanshis. The town lies on the banks of Ganges River.
