Bhagsunag

Bhagsunag is more than just a temple. It has waterfall behind it and water flows down into a tank just outside the temple. Bhagsunag is a spectacular waterfall 11 km away from Dharamshala and is easily approached by road. It is one of the best tourist attractions in Dharamshala. Bhagsunag waterfall is surrounded by stunning cliffs and trees. This enchanting waterfall is known for its old temple, a fresh water spring and slate quarry. There are faces carved into the stone and a number of shrines old and new surround it.

Tourists can take a dip in the chilly water of this fall. They can also visit Bhagsunath Temple to seek lord Shiva’s blessing. Though this waterfall lies a little distant away from the town of Dharamshala, tourists make sure that they visit this spot, which is also an important place for Hindu pilgrims. The height of this enormous waterfall is approximately 20 metres and it is an absolute marvel to look at, especially during the monsoon. Bhagsunag fall is located only 2kms from McLeod Ganj and can be visited while on trek.

Bhagsunag waterfall has a nice cafeteria nearby to indulge tourists in lip smacking snacks which are served with warmth.
