About Trongsa Tshechu
Trongsa Tshechu is a yearly three day event that occurs at the courtyard of Trongsa Choekor Rabtse Dzong. Tshechu are constantly led or closure on the tenth Day of a Bhutanese Calendar month as the term Tshechu implies the tenth, which is generally celebrated as Birth Anniversary of Guru Rimpoche, the second Buddha. Tshechu's are organized in every of the 20 Districts of Bhutan and each region performs at ious months from each other and its more like a New Year Celebrations and its both cheerful festivals for the nationals and in addition huge day of contributions to the Guru Rimpoche and other neighborhood divinities. There will be both mask dances by the Buddhist Monks and also melodies and dance from the local villagers.
It is a yearly occasion and during Tshechu period all Government Offices, Private Institutions and Schools remain closed for the whole Trongsa Tshechu period.
