About Koningsdag King's day
Koningsdag or King's Day is a national occasion in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Celebrated on 27 April & 26 April if the 27th is a Sunday, the date denotes the introduction of King Willem-Alexander. Up until 2013, when Queen Beatrix surrendered and was prevailing by her child Willem-Alexander, the occasion was known as Koninginnedag or Queen's Day and was commended on 30 April. The occasion was at first saw on 31 August 1885 as Prinsessedag or Princess' Day, the fifth birthday celebration of Princess Wilhelmina, beneficiary to the Dutch honored position.
On her increase in November 1890 the occasion gained the name Koninginnedag, first celebrated on 31 August 1891. In September 1948, Wilhelmina's little girl Juliana climbed to the honored position and the occasion was moved to Queen Juliana's birthday, 30 April. The occasion was commended on this date from 1949.Juliana's girl, Beatrix, held the festival on 30 April after she rose the royal position in 1980, however her birthday was on 31 January. Beatrix adjusted her mom's custom of accepting a flower parade at Soestdijk Palace, rather going by ious Dutch towns every year and participate in the celebrations with her kids.
In 2009, the Queen was observing Queen's Day in the city of Apeldoorn when a man endeavored to assault her by attempting to slam the Royal family's transport with his auto; rather he crashed into a horde of individuals and collided with a landmark: seven individuals in the group were killed, just like the driver. Ruler Beatrix relinquished on Koninginnedag 2013, and her child, Willem-Alexander, climbed the position of authority the main lord since the recognition of the national occasion. Subsequently, the occasion ended up known as Koningsdag from 2014 on, and the festival was moved three days back to 27 April, the King's birthday.
