About Gangaur Festival

Gangaur is the most colorful festival celebrated in the state of Rajasthan and some parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The festival is celebrated with utmost enthusiasm and devotion by females of all ages. On this day females observe fast and worship goddess Gauri also referred as Parvati. Married women observe this fast to have a blissful married life and pray for long life of their husbands. Whereas, and un-married females observe this fast to be blessed with a good husband.
