About Ettumanur Utsavam
Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple is a standout amongst the most well known Lord Shiva Temples in Kerala. The ten-day yearly celebration held in the Malayalam Kumbham month is renowned for the show of the ezharapponnana seven and a half gold elephants. In , Ettumanur Mahadeva Temple Festival is on February 16. The Arattu will be hung on March 25. Ettumanur Shiva Temple Arattu is hung the evening of the tenth day of the celebration. Ten caparisoned elephants go with the Murti or icon of Lord Shiva in a parade to a lake adjacent for Arattu sacred shower.
Amid the ten days of the celebration, different performing expressions and sanctuary customs are arranged in the sanctuary premises. Kathakali and Velakali draw in aficionados from all spots in Kerala.
