About Dusshera

 

After Diwali, the most sought festival in Northern India is Dusshera. This is a 10 day fest, with rituals and ceremonies celebrated with full vigor. It starts with Navratri and ends on the 10 th day Dussherra. This fest has a history and a faith that surmounts the victory of truth over evil. According to mythology, Lord Ram killed the Demon Ravaan to protect his wife Sita.

The festival prevails an unmatched gaiety and is amongst the most popular festivals of India. More on the lines of Burning Man Fest, yet different, Dusshera is an exhilarating fest to experience in India. Dusshera is an important hindu festival celebrated all over India. It involves all communities and people from every part of the country. The must watch during this time is the Ramlila's that are being held at every big and small venues. Ramlila presents the entire Ramayana and recreate an ambiance much to feel.
