About Baruni

The Baruni celebration is commended on the thirteenth day of the dim portion of Phairen. It is dedicated to love of Lord Shiva. It is presented by Chandrakirti in the nineteenth century. On this day the fan young men, young ladies and senior citizens make a journey to Nongmaijing mountain. It is a custom to scrub down in the waterway Ganges. The shower is taken by the travelers in Chinggoi stream.

In the wake of cleaning up they climb the mountain during the evening by the northward course and take after the contrary side course to descend. The phallic stone is in the Shiva sanctuary on the mountain. The pioneers introduce their contributions to the Shivalinga. Kirtans are additionally masterminded in the sanctuary.
