Our tour will include places like the Kali Bari Temple, Lakkar Bazar, Mall Road, Christ Church and the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. The Kali Bari temple is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Shimla and the city derives its name from goddess Shyamala who is considered to be a form of Kali. The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies is the first building to have electricity in Shimla. Originally built as a home for Lord Dufferin, famous architect Henry Irwin designed this building which was subsequently used as a lodge for the Viceroys of India. You will find exquisitely carved wooden articles in Lakkar Bazaar which you can take back home as souvenirs. Take a stroll through the Mall Road which happens to be the busiest treet in Shimla. Visit the scandal point which is the place where Maharaja of Patiala eloped with a British Lady, the point is near Mall Road. And lastly, visit the beauty of Neo-Gothic architecture at the Christ Church which happens to be the second oldest church in India.
