Beautiful 8 Days 7 Nights Leh, Spituk, Zingchen and Rumbak Weekend Getaways Tour Package

Our journey begins with a visit to the iconic Spituk Monastery just outside of Leh. There onwards, we drive to the starting point of our trek - Zingchen. This is where the trek will begin on the next day.

The beginning of the trek is through the world-famous Hemis National Park, which is home to diverse flora and fauna. Onwards through Rumbak, we camp at Yurutse for the night.

Today, we shall encounter the first mountain pass of the trek early during the day. Gandala-La Pass is at an altitude of 4900m above mean sea level. We descend after crossing the pass and camp by the river at Skyu.

At the middle of our long trek, we are today going to reach the pristine Markha Valley. We encounter a diversity of terrains along the way - from mountain gorges to pasture lands.

Our exploration of the Markha Valley continues as we trek along the river. Hankar and Thachuntse continue to offer you the same closeness to the Himalayan nature and terrain that this trek is famous for.

This day is kept for an easy trek to the Nimaling plateau, which is a traditional grazing field for the people of the Markha Valley to bring their cattle to. We rest overnight at the Nimaling camp site.

After leaving Nimaling behind, we cross the river and ascend to the Kongmaru La pass which is at an altitude of 5306m above mean sea level, and offers breathtaking views of the Ladakh ranges and Indus valley around it.

After a delightful breakfast at our last camp site for the trek, we are now at the end of our trek. We end the journey with a visit to the Hemis Monastery, which is the largest and richest in Ladakh. We head back to Leh from there on, crossing the unique landscapes that we encounter on our drive.
