About Nukus
Nukus is the 6th-biggest town in Uzbekistan, and the capital of the self sustaining Karakalpakstan Republic. The populace of Nukus as of January 1, 2018 was about 312,100. The Amu Darya river passes west of the metropolis. The metropolis is first-class regarded for its world-magnificence Nukus Museum of Art. The name Nukus comes from the old tribal name of the Uzbeks, Nukus. Nukus advanced from a small agreement in 1932 into a huge, contemporary Soviet town with extensive avenues and massive public homes with the aid of the 1950.
The town's isolation made it host to the Red Army's Chemical Research Institute, a main studies and testing center for chemical guns. In 2002 america Department of Defense dismantled the Chemical Research Institute, the fundamental research and checking out site for the Novichok agent, below a $6 million Cooperative Threat Reduction application. Nukus is host to the Nukus Museum of Art and State Museum. The State Museum houses the standard series of artifacts recovered from archaeological investigations, traditional earrings, costumes and musical units, shows of the vicinity's now vanished or endangered flora and fauna, and on the Aral Sea problem.
