About Sunderland
Sunderland was first settled in 1713 and was authoritatively fused in 1718. Sunderland is a town in Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States, some portion of the Pioneer Valley. It was first known as Swampfield, a name which is presently regarded by Swampfield Road, however the name was changed to pull in more occupants.
Truly, the land was to a great extent utilized for cultivating. Prior to the fuse of Leverett in 1774, that town was a piece of Sunderland's region. The city had a population of 275,300 at the time of the 2011 census, with the majority of the population 174,286 residing in Sunderland. It was renamed to pay tribute to Charles Spencer, the Earl of Sunderland.
