Sacramento

Sacramento is a city and capital of California, U.S., and seat of Sacramento province, in the north-focal piece of the state. It is arranged in the Sacramento Valley along the Sacramento River at its juncture with the American River, around 90 miles upper east of San Francisco and 45 miles north of Stockton. The city site itself is level, yet the land slowly ascends toward the east on the way to deal with the lower regions of the Sierra Nevada. The zone encounters long, sweltering, dry summers and cool, soggy winters with occasional foggy spells. Sacramento, one of the state's most established consolidated groups, lies at the core of a four-province metropolitan territory. Rural areas—thought generally toward the north and east of the city—incorporate Citrus Heights, Folsom, Carmichael, North Highlands, and Roseville; different groups incorporate Parkway south and West Sacramento.
