Marlborough

Marlborough is a market town and common area in the English district of Wiltshire on the Old Bath Road, the old fundamental street from London to Bath. It flaunts the second-vastest high road in Britain, after Stockton-on-Tees. The town is on the River Kennet, 24 miles north of Salisbury and 10 miles south-southeast of Swindon. The soonest indication of human home is a 62-foot-high ancient tumulus in the grounds of Marlborough College. Ongoing radiocarbon dating has discovered it to date from around 2400 BC.
