Knox is a city in Center Township, Starke County, in the U.S. territory of Indiana.The populace was 3,704 at the 2010 enumeration. The city is the province seat of Starke County.Knox was established in 1851, and is named after General Henry Knox. The Knox post office has been in activity since 1820.Knox is situated along the Yellow River. As per the 2010 enumeration, Knox has an aggregate territory of 3.92 square miles 10.15 km2, all land.
The state funded educational system of Knox comprises of an Elementary K-fifth grade, Middle 6-eighth grade, and High 9-twelfth school. Knox's understudies are served by Knox Community High School, situated at 1 Redskin Trail and serving around 830 understudies from grades 9-12.
