John Day

John Day is a city situated around 2 miles north of Canyon City in Grant County, Oregon. Waterway and Canyon Creek close to the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness Area. The North Fork of the John Day is a piece of the U.S. Wild and Scenic Rivers framework.

The present city is an exchanging point for a dairy cattle and mining district and is central command of the Malheur National Forest, which spreads over the lower regions of the Blue Mountains.
